We saw that the SONS OF THE PROPHETS actually had dormitories to stay in just like a live-in Bible College.<\/p>\n

So what about the food situation? What did meal time look like for our young trainees?<\/p>\n

Well the Bible says that the SONS OF THE PROPHETS actually ate together with the MASTER when he was with them.
\n2 Kings 4:38 And Elisha RETURNED TO GILGAL, and there was a famine in the land. Now the SONS OF THE PROPHETS were SITTING BEFORE HIM; and he said to his servant, \u201cPut on the large pot, and BOIL STEW FOR THE SONS OF THE PROPHETS.\u201d<\/p>\n

The interesting thing here is that it was a famine and Elisha took the responsibility to prepare the food for his disciples.<\/p>\n

Now look towards the time of Jesus and His disciples.<\/p>\n

John 21:5 He called out to them, \u201cFriends, haven\u2019t you any fish?\u201d
\n\u201cNo,\u201d they answered.
\n6 He said, \u201cTHROW YOUR NET ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE BOAT AND YOU WILL FIND SOME.\u201d When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.
\n7 Then the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, \u201cIt is the Lord!\u201d As soon as Simon Peter heard him say, \u201cIt is the Lord,\u201d he wrapped his outer garment around him (for he had taken it off) and jumped into the water.
\n8 The other disciples followed in the boat, towing the net full of fish, for they were not far from shore, about a hundred yards.
\n9 When they landed, THEY SAW A FIRE OF BURNING COALS THERE WITH FISH ON IT, AND SOME BREAD.
\n10 Jesus said to them, \u201cBring some of the fish you have just caught.\u201d
\n11 So Simon Peter climbed back into the boat and dragged the net ashore. It was full of large fish, 153, but even with so many the net was not torn.
\n12 Jesus said to them, \u201cCome and have breakfast.\u201d None of the disciples dared ask him, \u201cWho are you?\u201d They knew it was the Lord.
\n13 Jesus came, took the bread and gave it to them, and did the same with the fish.<\/p>\n

There is a pattern here of discipleship. It\u2019s not always about teaching from the front of a classroom.<\/p>\n

Paul described it well.<\/p>\n

1 Corinthians 4:15 For though you might have TEN THOUSAND INSTRUCTORS IN MESSIAH, YET YOU DO NOT HAVE MANY FATHERS; for in MessiahJesus I HAVE BEGOTTEN YOU THROUGH THE GOSPEL.
\n16 Therefore I urge you, IMITATE ME.<\/p>\n

Are you a pastor, a leader?
\nDo you have disciples?
\nHow are you training them?
\nAre you standing and teaching or do you take time to be with them LIKE A FATHER and a son so that they can IMITATE you.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\t\t\t<\/div> \n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div> \n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Watch This Message We saw that the SONS OF THE PROPHETS actually had dormitories to stay in just like a live-in Bible College.
