Elijah is about to leave this world and it is time to get his affairs in order. One of those last things he must do is to prompt his successor to ASK for what he wants.<\/p>\n

Yes you heard it right.
\nElijah had to promote the \u201cPrinciple of ASKING\u201d for what he wanted – specifically.<\/p>\n

Jesus taught this to His disciples,
\nLuke 11:9 \u201cSo I say to you, ASK, AND IT WILL BE GIVEN TO YOU; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
\n10 For EVERYONE WHO ASKS RECEIVES, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.<\/p>\n

Jesus showed the power of identifying what you want and asking for it when He called for a blind man to be brought to Him. The blind man had been calling out to him.<\/p>\n

Mark 10:49 So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called. Then they called the blind man, saying to him, \u201cBe of good cheer. Rise, He is calling you.\u201d
\n50 And throwing aside his garment, he rose and came to Jesus.
\n51 So Jesus answered and said to him, \u201cWHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO FOR YOU?\u201d<\/p>\n

This seems so strange a thing to ask when the man was obviously blind. But Jesus knew the \u2018Principle of Asking\u2019.<\/p>\n

The blind man said to Him, \u201cRabboni, that I may receive my sight.\u201d
\n52 Then Jesus said to him, \u201cGo your way; YOUR FAITH HAS MADE YOU WELL.\u201d And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the road.<\/p>\n

For Elijah the \u201cPrinciple of asking\u201d was already a principle he knew must be combined with the \u201cPrinciple of identifying what things a person has on hand\u201d and the \u201cPrinciple of activating a person\u2019s faith by getting them to do something\u201d.<\/p>\n

When he went to the widow of Zarephath who was gathering sticks to prepare her last meal.<\/p>\n

1 Kings 17:10 So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, indeed a widow was there gathering sticks. And he called to her and said, \u201cPlease bring me a little water in a cup, that I may drink.\u201d
\n11 And as she was going to get it, he called to her and said, \u201cPlease bring me a morsel of bread in your hand.\u201d<\/p>\n

And once she had activated her faith by giving the thing she had on hand, the power of God came upon her and she survived the drought in relative ease because of that request from Elijah.<\/p>\n

The \u201cPrinciple of asking\u201d by faith is a HEAVEN – OPENER. Not only for yourself but for everyone around you. But MAKE THE REQUEST – because it is a principle of the Kingdom.<\/p>\n

Now Elijah knew that Elisha had to be prompted to ask.<\/p>\n

2 Kings 2:9 And so it was, when they had crossed over, that Elijah said to Elisha, \u201cASK! WHAT MAY I DO FOR YOU, BEFORE I AM TAKEN AWAY FROM YOU?\u201d<\/p>\n

Elijah commanded Elisha \u201cASK!
\nThis was an activating command to jolt Elisha into the state of FAITH.<\/p>\n

Ah the power of asking the Lord. Not pleading, not crying – but asking by faith.<\/p>\n

Exodus 14:15 And the Lord said to Moses, \u201cWHY DO YOU CRY TO ME? Tell the children of Israel to go forward.
\n16 But LIFT UP YOUR ROD, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s a question for you?
\nWhat do you want from the Lord that is related to God and His Kingdom?
\nWhy not spend some time in prayer and ASK Him right now!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
