In this week’s Torah portion we are looking at Deuteronomy 29:9 – 30:20
The portion of Nitzavim focuses around the Messianic prophecy of Moses.
Moses predicts and warns of the future exile and desolation of the children of Israel resulting from abandoning God’s commandments.
He prophecies that after that exile the Lord Himself will regather them to their own land.
We will be discussing this great return from exile and looking at the where in the New Testament we will find Jesus, and Paul’s references to this great event and how it is linked to Messiah’s coming.
What is the rapture? When will it happen?
We will explore – Heaven? Or the Land of Israel?
What is a circumcised heart? And what it means when Moses presents the ultimate example of free choice when he says the famous words – “I have set before you life and goodness, death and evil – therefore choose life”.

“God will bring back your exiles, and have mercy on you. God your Lord will once again gather you from among all the nations where He scattered you. God your Lord will bring you to the land which your forefathers occupied and you too will take possession of it. God will be good to you and make you flourish more than your ancestors.” (Deuteronomy 30:3–5)
